I Ching Classes
What is the I Ching?
The I Ching (Yijing), known as the Book of Change, is a book of wisdom and guidance with origins dating back 5000 years. What makes this book unique is its use as an oracle - millions of people around the world today consult the I Ching to gain insight or wisdom into the deeper movements of their life.
Using a method of divination, the I Ching answers or “speaks” through specific passages of advice associated with 64 hexagrams in the Book of Change. The hexagrams are an ancient language of nature reflecting the natural flow of energy moving within the situation of inquiry. The commentary that accompanies the hexagrams offers guidance on how one can move with the change life is offering for the best possible outcome.
With this tool we are able to take a snapshot of a moment in time in our life to examine it in detail, which provides a sense of seeing the bigger picture, and connects us to the more spiritual or soulful aspects of the self that are beyond the everyday logic mind. Using the I Ching as a tool for self-reflection can offer incredible insights into the broader issues at hand in situations and relationships, as well as deepen our own power of intuition.
When you consult the I Ching (or Tao Oracle cards), you can access information from a deeper source - without the influence of the mind.
