Logistics for Weekend Courses
Course Location
All weekend courses, one-day courses, and evening classes take place at the School of Humanity & Awareness in Atlanta, unless otherwise noted.
Arrival Time
We request students plan to arrive at the course location within 15 - 30 minutes ahead of start time to check-in and settle into the energy for the day.
Items to Bring
- We invite all participants to bring a journal and pen. Many students enjoy writing down awarenesses, insights and new learnings that they may reflect and contemplate after their experience.
- We recommend bringing a covered water bottle (labeled with your name) for hydration.
- Food is often provided at weekend courses, however students are more than welcome to also bring light snacks with them as needed.
- For many of our courses, we use floor chairs, called Backjacks. Classroom style chairs are available if needed.
Clothing
Please dress in comfortable clothing. Layers are recommended as the temperature in the course room tends to fluctuate. Wear warm socks, or slippers, as we will be removing our shoes during the course. We will be doing a breathe so you may want to bring a small blanket if you know you get cold easily.
Energies
Additionally when considering attire for the weekend, please avoid shorts, tight pants, short skirts and low-cut tops. This is for your basic comfort, and it is also because this is an advanced course - please dress for a mature, introspective weekend.
