So what is actually happening for the students in OneDream?

"In OneDream you learn to open an inner channel, as the beginning to opening a deeper/larger connection with Spirit.
We are actually going into an altered state experience hoping that students connect a little more with their insides and listen a little more to Spirit.
This is an awareness training in how they view themselves. We are giving them a whole different perspective of themselves - this is an enormous thing to take in. It is like buying a new lens - you get to use it if you want to. Some people take well to the new lens, and other people will put it on the shelf for awhile, but somehow it is always connected to them. They never quite see the world the same - or themselves the same.
We give students a broader perspective of what is possible in a life. And most importantly we give them an experience of their inner-goodness, as we energize it - and it is their inner-goodness that is going to have them be in service in the their worlds. We give them things to ponder on that are different than what they grew up on. And in the end, the highest thing we give them is freedom - only because they can 'hear' now, the 'listening' is everything.
That is a lot to do in a year. We didn't go for them getting anything external, we went for them having an experience - a radically alive experience that is different - so that they could see themselves. We went for them having a different lens. So OneDream doesn't make you a new human being, OneDream is a journey like life - and it teaches you a lot, a lot of different ways of seeing things - energizing your own body - experiencing yourself - beginning to see what you are really up to. That is a lot! To get a new lens so that you can be connected - so that you don't have to feel lost... OneDream empowers a sense that your spirituality is in your own hands and that you can live it fully alive from your own heart - I mean, dear god, what a great message!"

I have often wondered about the magic of OneDream! Of course, it is nothing that my mind can ever understand despite its greatest efforts. Instead, I am always left with a feeling of awe! The journey of it alone was amazing! Then, there has been the wake of what has followed. After approximately two years since the "completion" of OD, I am still experiencing the unfoldment of the OD journey in my life. There are things Apol said or experiences that I had that I did not fully appreciate until much later. It feels as if the seeds of somethings magnificent were planted, unique and custom made for each person's journey, or perhaps openings that were created so that we may all have the opportunity to fully embrace and live our hearts and hence walk the path of our destiny, or perhaps both. Whatever the mystery, I am forever grateful for the journey!
Apol's description of the course is right on target! It is an experiential awareness course that has had a profound and lasting impact on my life. It is a great gift to become more aware of an inner connection to spirit. Having completed this course more than a year ago, I am just beginning to internalize how to nurture that connection and how to live more fully from it. I feel very fortunate to have had a chance to work with a such a great group of people in this class.
